Hey, I'm Jolyn Martin. Certified personal trainer. Group fitness instructor. I help women get off the start-stop cycle of fitness programs to find movement they enjoy, is sustainable & feels empowering.
I have had the pleasure of getting to know Jolyn through the Nourished Moms, Healthy Kids program and through the group fitness classes. The NMHK program is incredible. It completely changed the way I thought about food and weight loss. Jolyn is the first trainer I've met who emphasizes the importance of listening to your body during workouts rather than "pushing through the pain." Her workouts are fun and challenging without feeling punitive. Jolyn's body inclusive approach to fitness is so refreshing! Working with Jolyn has made me more accepting and appreciative of my body. I started working with Jolyn in October 2020. In a short amount of time, I can honestly say she's changed my life. She has helped me develop a much healthier relationship with food and exercise- one that isn't led by guilt and shame but enjoyment and experience instead. I have a lot of work to do still on this journey but I feel so supported by Jolyn. Deconstructing so much of what I thought about health and fitness has been hard but SUCH a beautiful process. It can be an incredibly vulnerable thing to open up to someone about your relationship to your body, food, exercise, etc but she makes it so safe. It's been emotional at times and she's walked alongside me. If you're thinking about asking Jolyn to train you, I highly recommend it. It's a life changing experience. ?
Jolyn is so positive and encouraging. I look forward to working out with her twice a week. I love how she encourages participants to listen to their body and offers lots of suggestions for adapting the workout. Even on Zoom, due to the pandemic, the class feels personal and interactive.
I highly recommend Jolyn Martin Fitness. Her classes are fun and motivating and always changing things up. We are an encouraging group and lift each other up. Our Tuesday and Thursday night classes are a ton of fun. Jolyn is fantastic. I always end the class feeling better than when I arrived.
Jolyn creates a positive, fun and inclusive environment. She knows her stuff, I would always feel sore after, but never felt discouraged during workouts. Perfect balance! I would definitely recommend her classes!
I began when Jolyn was offering a free look in & never left. The zoom format is very comfortable for a shy beginner. Jolyn provides alternatives & explainations that allow me to not only DO the exercises but feel confident & knowledgeable while I do. The atmosphere of the group is very welcoming & Jolyn's attitudes are very inclusive. I didn't belive that I had the physical or mental ability to exercise in a more formal way & now I'm doing it twice a week thanks to Jolyn's leadership & passion for wholistic well being!
